Yesterday I was able to extend my stay in our nation’s fair capital with a visit to Channel 8 News’ “Let’s Talk Live” afternoon show with hosts Natasha Barrett and Doug McKelway. Natasha and I gabbed about DIY, projects for baby showers, and why T-shirts are so darn unintimidating (they’re so easy! they’re so lovable! they’re so inviting!). I’ll have pictures soon to post from this weekend’s event in Washington D.C. at the Proper Topper (where they still have signed books available for sale for those of you in the area)–and thanks to everyone who came out despite the cold (and the heat)!

Is there any way I can prevent this video from coming on every time I load the page? It’s a cool video, but it’s a bit jarring to hear a disembodied woman’s voice when I’m looking at the newer posts at the top of the page, lol.

Thanks, Megan!!! Wow……you’re as talented with computers as you are at transforming T-shirts. I’m pretty computer illiterate myself–I have a bunch of DIY pictures from like, mid-summer through a few weeks ago, but this computer won’t let me upload them. 🙁
My pal Doug helps me with the computer stuff — I’m better at working on real-life projects than cyber-existent projects, but I’m getting better! Can’t wait to see pics when you get around to them!
